SWA: Priority date for my swa was March 2003. right now they are working on May 2003. When ever I request my Attorney to do a status check he says it's done, your state level is cleared but he never sends any receipt of completed task. HOW DO I KNOW IF MY STATE LEVEL CLEARED.

2nd: when I ask him now that you have filed for Federal level, they must have assigned a case number or something that my employer can track, he says he doesn't have any case number at this moment. I hope he is not keeping me in the dark. I really like to find out where I stand at this point of time.

Mr. Khanna has done a great job by filing a complaint against INS, pending I-485. It would be great if we could file a litigation against the delays in Labor Certification also.
waiting years and years to get a green card is unsecure and unhealthy.

USDOL has announced two major initiatives for backlog reduction (PERM and outsourcing to private contractors). For the time being, I think we can wait and watch.

if PERM introduced: can I still use it for Federal Level Labour or do I have to start

Thanks for your reply.
If PERM becomes active, can I still use it for my Federal level labour, if my state has been cleared already. or do I have to start state and Federal all over again.

Thanks Mr. Khanna.

Thanks Mr. Khanna.

We do not know yet. But as per the last regs, you have to start all over again. Please do not post any more of this discussion here. This is for the 485 lawsuit only.
