I am currently on an OPT(F-1) and my company is filing for H-1 in a few days.
My OPT status is valid until next March so there is no hurry to get the H1 in hand right now. The company lawyer tells us that applying under premium processing will not affect me in terms of the quota as once my application is filed I will make the quota. It will only take more time to get the visa than for premium processing. Is that true? I do not want someone applying next month to push me out of the quota if they apply with premium processing. Can someone give me proper information from their experience? Thanks.
