SSN vs TIN

I am in process of filing a green card application for my wife. While filling out I-130 and I-485, I noticed that both applications ask for SSN of the applicant.

My wife does not have a SSN but she does have a TIN (Tax Identification Number), that she received from IRS when I applied for one. Should I provide TIN whereever the applications for SSN?

No. They ask for an SSN. If she doesn't have one, then fill in "N/A".
