SSN for EAD

Hello folks,

One of my friend wants to start working on EAD (right now she is on H4). Can she get SSN based on EAD?

She told me that employement agency asked for SSN. Please let me know your comments.

If she has the EAD, just go to the Soc Sec Office and apply. No prob in getting SSN. However, the SSN card issued will say - "Valid with Authorization Only"
