hello all,
My spouse is a US citizen and I'm planning to send the completed paperwork to apply for the green card for my self,I'm working on H-1B visa at the moment.
the problem that after I read all the instructions to apply for the GC ,I realised that my wife didn't earn any income this year because of her pregnancy and then taking care of the baby, the whole family depends on my income so how is that going to work with regards to filling I-864 form??

thanks

Have you both been living at the same house for atleast 6 months after you got married?

I-864A is not necessary; wess76 is the spouse of the sponsor and has legally authorized employment in the US, so his income can be listed in question 24 of the I-864.

You are assuming that the intending immigrant does not have any accompanying dependents? :)

I think my assumption is better than yours. :D The child of his USC wife will almost surely be a born USC, and the OP has not mentioned any other children.

Well if you read carefully, I told the OP to read up on I-864A. I never told him he needs one :)
Secondly, the OP's first post used the words, "the whole family depends on my income", so perhaps that may indicate dependents? :)
