Sponsorship during I-485 pending

Gurus,

I am planning to bring in my mother-in-law over to US for a couple of months. I have an approved I-140 and my I-485 is still pending. My H1-B visa would expire in two months and I have no plans to renew it as I have started working on EAD.

Would I be able to sponsor her when I am on adjustment of status?

Please advise.

Thanks

There is nothing in the laws or regulations that would prevent this, and if you read long enough on these forums you will see many cases of this hapenning. The determining situation is wether or not your relative can satisfy the consular officer and BCBP at the port of entry that she will return to her home country after her stay is over.

That is the primary consideration; compared to that, your status is of little importance to them.

sv70 it is ok

We have invited my parents, and i have seen too many such cases,

no problem..just send enough information as stated by immigration websites
