sponsor issue!!!

Hello everyone, I would like first thank all the initiators and participants of this wonderful forum that help us get enough information through each of us experiences.
My issue is the following,
I am an international student on a F-1 visa and my girlfriend is a citizen. We planned to get married this summer and then decided to wait until we have enough funds. I am expecting to graduate next year (December 2009), and my plans are to go back home work in my family company after a few years of work experience here. But knowing how difficult it could be for me to get a working permit, my girlfriend and I decided to get married before I graduate to make me avoid the all working permit issues by being sponsored by her when we married.
My questions are the following:
1) According to my story, when is a reasonable time to be married in order to be able to have a GC by graduation day since we don't want a rush marriage(my family would be coming from overseas and stuff)?
2)My girlfriend may not have enough funds to cover the sponsor requirements(she is a student), will that be possible to use my dad and the family company as sponsors? Since it's both my dad and the company that are my F1 visa sponsors and that pay for my studies here. Or would it better to find a sponsor in the US instead?
Thanks everyone.

first of all, you can get an OPT work permit rather easily based on your F-1. It's good for 12-17 months depending on your profession.
You can get married at any time.
Then, about 4 months prior to OPT expiration you should apply for a GC if you are planning to reside in the US. If you are not planning to do so, there is no reason for you to apply for it, since you are going to lose it when you move back to your own country for several years to work and reside there.
The co-sponsor needs to be a US resident or a US citizen.

But knowing how difficult it could be for me to get a working permit, my girlfriend and I decided to get married before I graduate to make me avoid the all working permit issues by being sponsored by her when we married.
this is called fraud for immigration purposes. The result will be a lifelong deportation for you, and upto 5 years in jail for your wife.
