I already checked, I was not able to find answers in USCIS's or blogs websites to my questions, thanks a lot for your answers and efforts.... ,
Ps You don't need to feel so offended!!!! we are speaking about an important matter that may disqualify me, of course I want to be sure that the info provided is reliable, sorry for the misunderstanding but please understand my point of view, you can consider also that this is my last post concerning this matter...
The above post may be your last regarding your own question or the responses it's generated, notwithstanding, I will go ahead and respond accordingly. You may ignore my post, that is fine.
Yes, we understand you asked the question because it is of great importance to you and you want to be certain as to the quality of the response you're getting. However, you need to realize most of the people who bother to respond to questions here are not being paid to do so, most are not asking to be thanked or appreciated for doing what they do (with the exception of a few who ask for public recognition. The assistance being provided here would cost a great deal if one were to approach an immigration attorney, so it matters a lot how one responds/reacts to the answers provided. Obviously if Lionhawk's answer had been incorrect, one or two other people would have stepped forward to clarify things.
Nothing wrong in asking people for further clarification or evidence to support their response; choice of word matters a great deal. So if you post like you find the response to a question you've posted odious or with disdain, then you leave yourself open to being misunderstood.
Anyway, here's a link to the U.S. Department of State Foreign Affairs Manual Volume (page 20) stating who can fill out an affidavit of support:
To qualify as a sponsor, an individual must be a natural person (not a corporation or other business entity) who:
- Is a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident (LPR) of the United States (including conditional residents);
- Is at least 18 years of age;
- Filed the petition which forms the basis for the visa application (or has a substantial interest in the entity which filed the petition); and
-Is domiciled in any of the 50 States of the United States, the District of Columbia, or any territory or possession of the United States.
