I scanned some cases today, so many "case not found". I think they are all approved. Seems VSC is approving at very fast speed right now.

These cases may be the ones which are already approved.... like EAD..AP or 485 etc.......Seems like someone in BCIS wrote a purge program to purge approved cases... I checked my EAD and AP case status and I got the same message... both EAD and AP was approved 3-4 months ago....
I hope they purge the approved cases few months after approval and few days....

A purge program seems right, since my approved I-140 (from back in 2000/2001) vanished today.

In my earlier posting ,I meant to say

I hope they purge the approved cases few months after approval and not few days after approval....

It does not mean approval

It does not mean approval

For some of the numbers AVM says that they have sent FP notice in the month of Jan and Feb. It is possible that they will be purged because of no response for FP's . Just a guess.

Purging seems to be happening.

All of my past EADs and APs are no longer in the system. They were all approved.

As I understand the online status system is one collated system which gets updated by a nightly report (file) from all the centers. And now I think the database became so big that they decided to purge the approved ones.

You may be right that they are trying to purge the approved cases. But, I guess while cleaning up their database they screwed it up. My case I-485 which is just 7-8 months old and I am getting "case not found...." message. But the 800 number gives me the same old message of FP-1 notice sent.

I guess either they have planned to keep only the active cases in their database (cases which are with some officer)

or

this is screw up and they could be trying to fix it
