Slow Oath Letter San Francisco

So I'm a month out from interview. Got the congratulations letter after it.

I know for a lot of places it can be a bit slow but several people who interviewed after me seem to have got theirs. I'm guessing it may be lost n the mail. SF sounds like it's usually pretty quick

What do you guys suggest? I guess my options are:

1. Do nothing and wait for a "you missed the ceremony letter"
2. Try and fib my way to a grown up on the 800 number. Do they even know.
3. Infopass.

Given that USCIS has up to 120 days after interview to provide oath letter, you can inquire 30-45 days after interview via Infopass and keep following up once a month until you receive the letter.
If the 120 day limit passes and you still don't receive an oath letter, then consider further steps.

Phil, sorry to hear that. I hope your one is just missing mail situation which can be corrected by Infopass. I have the Feb 20 interview and I got the OL on March 6 with the OD on April 1. You are ahead of me, so your OD should be the same. Try Infopass and hope this is one of those things that fits Moore's Law. Good luck!

My husband and my interview were on the same date in San Francisco. Our fingerprinting was also on the same date. Interview date was 2/26/2009 and my husband got his oath letter 3/13, exactly 2 weeks after the interview. His oath is scheduled for April 1. I still have not received my oath letter and its driving me nuts. I went ahead and did an INFOPASS for 3/23. I think my letter got lost in mail and am hoping that the SF office can print me an oath letter for April 1. Its been a long journey ever since landing in this country and I want it all done. In frustration....

Logic doesn't go with the USCIS processing queues. My ID was on Nov 18 and the 120 day (or rather the 4 calendar month) limit would have been reached on March 18. Guess what - I received my OL on March 18 in the mail. I made an INFOPASS on day 4-month - 2 (March 16) to be told the letter would be mailed that very day.

So it would be best to get active - do INFOPASS, Senator's office (have them make inquiries - make sure to ask them to mention the 120 day limit). I made sure I used the words "120 days" in every sentence I spoke, when I met with the IO for my INFOPASS>

I have endured a 28.5 month ordeal to get light at the end of the tunnel - don't wish this upon anyone. This delayed my wedding plans, immigration for my wife-to-be and many other life's plans went on hold.

Hopefully your case sails through and shortly.

Cheers.

waiting anxiously for the Oath letter!

Today is the 3rd week of waiting for the arrival of my Oath letter. Is it too early if I call the 1 800 number or make an infopass to see if I my letter is coming up soon.

they say, the early bird catches the worm. it is not too early my friend. you have to start now before the letter gets lost in the mail system. i started in the third week after my interview. good luck:):)

which option did you choose when you made infopass appt.

Funky brother, you may be right. But I am not sure what to choose when I came to the following step on the infopass appointment:
They have 4 options to choose, I am not sure which one is relevance to my case:
1. Order frm Immigration court.
2. Case processing Appt.
3.EAD Inquiry appt.
4.Case svc follow up appt.

I know it's not #1, it would be either number 2 or 4. what is EAD?

I figured out how to proceed with the INFOPASS

I think when I did it the first time I didn't select the options for "Other services or further information.
However, I have INFOPASS appointment now for 3/24/09, We'll see what they have to say.

I got the Oath letter today!

It is scheduled for 4/15/09 :D
I am so happy, my long journey on this immigration is almost over, hopefully nothing will change between now and the Oath day.
I wish everybody good luck, don't give up your hope!:D:D:D:D
