Sixth year extension using previous employer's I-140?

Gurus, I have the following problems and please help:

I'm approaching my 6th year H-1 limit and plan to file for extension. Early in 2000, I have an approved I-140 with company A. Then in 2001, I have an approved LC. Since both A and B are very big companies, I don't know if they would use my approved I-140 and LC for other people. Right now, can I file for extension based on these previous approved documents?

Thanks a lot.

1: which company you are working for now - A/B/C--Z

2: If you have approved i140 why are you waiting without filing i485.

3. if both the company A & B are big why are you worried. they will file your h1 7th extension automatically or make you use ead if applicable

For your question, YES you can file 7th year h1 extension based on previous company labor/i140 IF THEY ARE STILL ACTIVE (pending or not revoked) and they labor should have filed 365 days before you claim 7th year extension.

note that assuming your company A filed your labor 365 days earlier and you left them and joined company b and filed another labor which should be less than 365 days, you CANNOT file 7th year extension using company A labor (if that labor was cancelled or used for someone else). check with the company and consult good attorney and proceed

--- Do you have the I-140 filing receipt or copy of approved I-140? If yes check the BCIS online status and find if that is NOT revoked, if it is not revoked immediately file for I-485, EAD AP, no letter from previous employer needed and employer A is not involved for I-485 filing. File I-485 EAD AP, keep quiet and don’t inform your friends once you receive I-485 filing receipt wait for 180 days then use AC21 and send new employer letter. Once you get I-485 receipt you can also extend 7th year H1

--- They can use LC for other employee NOT the I-140
