Should I file for PA?

No offense, but please do not waste time reading the People's Daily of the Communist Party of China. As my classmates from the former soviet union (who have had their shares of Pravada lies) keep saying, the only thing trust worthy was the date on the paper. Even the weather reports were suspect. :)

I concur. I cannot believe people wasting their time reading Chicom garbages.

Perhaps the person should read this OUTSTANDING book (not before dinner time though):

This is a really excellent recommendation. I read the book over the X-mas holiday break. The book has lapses every now and then but overall it is a major contribution to the scholarship on modern china. It vividly shows how depraved the Chinese Communist Party was (and is). It builds an unassailable case that Mao was at least on par with Hitler or Stalin in terms of brutality.

I heard that President Bush is suggesting that White House visitors read this book!!!!! It is worthwhile to read it.

Even though few thousand $ for a lawyer may sound like a lot of money, it's worth it.

Asylum interview is the one time chance for you - would you be denied, there is no rebbutal. Don't think of it as a simple process - this all is rather complicated. Even if you have 100% legitimate case, they could deny you on a spot for a little stupid detail . You need a lawyer who would prepare you for the interview, will look through your documents, will fight for you if something etc
I heard a lot of people saying that they wouldn't have got their case approved if not for their lawyer. (There are a lot of lawyers who are jerks, but do your research).
What you gonna do if they will drag your case for a long long while or send you a Notice of Intent to Deny which doesn't make any sense or plain become ridiculous at you during the interview?
Even though it's a lot of money, try to think - if you get approved you'll just have to sit and count back time till gc/usc and would be able work/travel pretty much anywhere you want vs trying to get h1- be dependant of the mood of your sponsoring boss for next 100 years and wait for the h1 based gc which is backloged 1000 years.

Good Luck.

PS. i've heard of cases when lawyers areed to accept pay in installments - try to talk to them - you've nothing to loose.
