Should I file Family based(4th catagory) GC along with EB2?

Hello Great Guru,
I am currently on H1, have 4 more years left on my H1B visa. My brother is a US citizen, should I apply for family based GC to be on the safe side along with my employment based GC. Does anyone forsee any speed up in the family based GC for the 4th catagory ?

It is already worse than EB

You can have multiple filings. One in EB and the other in Fb, I think the FB category can get worse or is already worse. Imagine all the new citizens of last year applying GC for their loved ones...you might need two lifetimes to clear out of that one.

Does any one know the timeline and overlap

Hi,
I have the same option available.
I know that we can not have two 485s pending so there must be some time where we can apply and it will not overlap with the current labor certification.

Does anyone know, at what stage do we have file for 485 in the family based process ?
Hint: is it right at the beginning/after 130 clearance/after the priority date is current/ etc. I just want to get the application in the pipeline (a long long one).

As of today the backlog is 12 years, and it is growing exponentially. If you apply now, you will get it before 2020, if you are +ve.

The best way to get GC is , if you are not married, ask your brother to look for USC girl.
