should I extend my H1B? thanks

hi gurus
I filed my 485 and EAD at the beginning of May. My 140 was approved under category of EB1-EA. My H1B is expiring at the end of June. It seems impossible for me to get EAD before July.Is my status legal if I don't extend my H1B? I really hate to extend it due to some reasons.

--------------file the H1 extension before I-94 gets expired
Is my status legal if I don't extend my H1B?
---------Yes, but for work you need EAD in hand or file H1 extension
I really hate to extend it due to some reasons.
