FP in different Location

Hi guys,
I have my FP for 28th Oct at Saint Louis, MO (FP was issued before address change), How ever my wife has FP for 14th in Newark, NJ.
Did any of you face such a issue with different locations for FP?.
Can we go to Newark on 14th and complete our FP together.
Your reply is appreciated,

I'm all for this but a couple of comments:

#1 When joyd did this for the I-140 trackers, we locked all the previous threads and made the 2003 and 2004 tracker threads sticky. Otherwise, people are going to keep updating the old threads, e.g. because they have shortcuts to them and don't notice that there are consolidated ones.

#2 If we do this, I'd start by bringing the I-140 trackers over here and only update these in this forum as far as I-485 approvals go (we'd no longer update this info in the I-140 forum) which I think makes sense.

Hi

Our FP Date is on 14-oct-2004 and 10 am. what is your timing?
 
Hey , regarding the q abt FP notice being lost/ recd late etc , I never got my FP notice whereas my husband did . I kept calling up the customer care and my lawyer too . Finally my lawyer "located" it . Idiot had misplaced it. This was a day b4 my husband's appt date. Mt FP had an appt date from a week earlier and the center was a diff city !!! (where i used to live previously ) . The reason im telling u all this is that inspite of all this chaos, the next day i went to the ceter with my hubby and they did Fp me too. So basicically u cannot actually find out whats happening with ur notice , but incase u are late , they still Fp u as long as u have the original FP notice.

Still waiting anxiously for my FP notice.
Seems like the folks who applied for I485 before the I140 was approved (either concurrent filing or shortly after filing I140) have been receiving their FP notices.
I filed my I485 after 140 approval. And so far, no FP.
 
Hi NNF,

The FPs are coming for non -concurrent also.. Please check the thread for september 2003 non-concurrent.
 
How many days after FP

How many days after first FP is the 485 expected ? I have noticed some posts mentioning a fast approval. FYI my FP1 date is Sep. 28th, 2004.

Is it true it's taking less time for 485 approval after FP is done since Aug 2004.

Here are the details.
FP Done on 9/17
I 485 Approved on 9/27

Used a Substitue labour with Priority date of May 21 2001, I don't know if the priority date caused an early approval or I am bit lucky this time, but I got it

Thanks dtrxc ...I had my FP on 9/28th/2004. I am hoping I am the lucky one and get my I-485 approved in the next couple of weeks...Any idea what is the criteria being used...does it has anything to do with FBI Clearence.

This is speculation on my part but my guess is that they may be trying to approve as many "easy" cases as they can, mainly in order to make the average backlog go down. This is why we are seeing some approvals from Aug/Sep 2003 (even some Oct/Nov and the odd one from 2004) while the majority of approvals are still around Nov/Dec 2002 or earlier). I have no idea if this makes sense but an "easy" case might depend on:

+birth country of applicant
+places applicant has travelled to
+other security concerns
+employment catagory (for EB cases)
+and obviously whether FP and name check etc. have cleared

I suspect there may be a somewhat random element to some of these "early approvals" also.

Guys: is there a change in activity or posting after your FP? also, anybody here have any idea as to how long it takes after first fp nowadaya? mine was non-concurrent.
