FP Notice

I have received my FP notice today, scheduled for 12/01/2004 9 am. As my spouse's FP is on 11/02/2004, can I take my notice also and do the FP? My center is Atlanta, GA.

Received FP for Primary Applicant (My wife) on Oct 18 for Dec 01. For me i got FP Notice on OCt 22 for Dec 03. We have filed 140 and 485 on Apr 16 2004.

Receipt of 485/EAD/AP

My Lawyer says they will be filing my 140/485/EAD and AP by the end of this week. Does USCIS send me a copy of the receipt when they receive my application or they send the receipt to the attorney who will then forward it to me?
Also since I-140 is applied for by the company do I get a receipt for this application?
Is the receipt number same for 140 and 485 so that I can monitor the all my cases on the USICS webpage using a single number or each case will have a different number?

Most of the times it goes to Lawyer. if you are sending cheque directly pay to USCIS , then you will get the reciepts. if your lawyer is filing on behalf of you then it goes to the lawyer.
An FYI..
Once you recieve get the reciepts from the lawyer in two weeks time you will recieve,

EAD - To your home address Irrespective of filing.
AP - Will go to lawyer.
Any RFE - Will go to lawyer.

Any More Update On FP Notice for May, June, July, August'04 Filers, Apart from the Above Update's?. Did they stop sending the FP Notices?

Dear Vibrant:
Can you tell me how to timeline works - Lets say I send my I-140 papers today - how early will USCIS send back a RD ?

when they send a RD - Do they send any paper/document giving details of the case applied - like beneficiary, etc. I am asking this ...so that my employer should not mess up my application - I can ask for a proof from him about this.

If you send the I-140 Application today with all the necassary documents, you should recieve the RD in One week, some times in couple of weeks.

You will get One page receipt document with the reciept number and Beneficiary(Your) name on it. Same is the case with I-485.

Hi,

With all the issues going on with name check, I sent an email to FBI about month back and got a reply yest. saying that both mine and spouse name check was completed: Be patient, u will get reply.

I am responding to your email dated October 4, 2004, concerning the immigration status.

The FBI completed a record check for XXXX (spouse) on August 3, 2004, and for XXXX on November 12, 2004. The results were forwarded to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Washington, DC.

Name check

Well during Aug 2004 and onwards, there were alot of postings with delayed name checks, so people started calling/emailing FBI to check on their cases. This is normally done after fingerprinting. To be honest I don't theink there was a problem but it was the most talked about at the time. If ur waiting for name clearence, then just be patient, it will be fine!
 
October 2004 Filer

Looks like lot of cases have been approved around 10/2004
It is hard to believe Immigrationwatch, They are showing approvals for November 04 filers. How far is this true? Is there a November filer who got their I-140 approved? Please show us some light.
