Update:

Today my wife went to San Antonio,Tx USCIS office for her Info-Pass appointment. She explained everything to IO. That IO told my wife that they don't have her file and the status of her file was showing that an inquiry about her file is going on [ When she entered receipt number in their system it the status showed like that).
IO told my wife to wait for 2-3 weeks as entire process normally takes 6-8 weeks.[ Its 3 weeks and 6 days today from inquiry started at NJ from NJ office]. She also told my wife that the USCIS will send letter as soon as they transfer file to san antonio or for any update.
I am sure we need to take another Info-pass appointment in 3rd or 4th week of June 2010 to know the status of the file.
Hey.. senior experts ! what do you think about todays response from IO ? And kindly, suggest our next move for future ?

Either IO was simply reading what you already knew or was unwilling to look into it further. Schedule another Infopass in 3-4 weeks time and have her ask for a supervisor.

I am not a senior nor an expert or lawyer. If i am in your position it is time to knock the door of your senator in TX or Congressman . How about checking with Ombudsman about your complaint ???
