Selected for DV2014 but will marry in the upcoming weeks !

Hello folks,

I was blessed enough to be selected for further processing, the problem is I will be marrying in the next weeks and I don't know when to send DSP-122 and DS-230.

I registered as single in the DV2014 form (since I was engaged but still single), now I want my partner to go with me to USA, from what I've read I have to include her in my forms (DSP-122 and DS-230) but I've also read that I can't wait too long before sending the forms, so if I wait until I get married (16 days) to send the forms I could lose my chance to get a visa.

Any advice ?

Because they have no clue about the DV processing timeline. You have more than enough time to get married before sending in your DSP-122 and DS-230 forms. Be sure to include your marriage certificate when you send in the forms.

I don't know, ask them. :) You need to send them so that KCC can start doing some planning. Usually people send them in May or June, but there won't be any interviews until October 1st, so there is no rush. If your country has very low quota, you may want to rush things a little but you certainly have more than 16 days to send them.
