Second Letter from KCC!

Hi All,
I have three simple questions about the second letter from KCC:
1. Do I have to wait for that letter in order to take it to the consulate for the interview or I can call/communicate with the consulate as soon as the cut-off numbers get published?
2. What does this letter contain?
3. When does the DV winner get it? [i.e., how much time between the receipt of the letter and the consular interview?]
Thanks,
Robert
P.S. In order to get interviewed at the consulate I know that the DV number needs to be bellow the cut-off number as published in the visa bulletin.

Please

Those questions are very important to people (like me) still waiting for their case numbers to become current.

I would like to thank people in advance for answering those questions

The second letter will come about 2-3 weeks before the interview. It is advisable to call/email KCC when your number is about to become current to find out the date of the interview. There have been cases when the second letter has been late. It's no problem, as long as you know the date of the interview.

You don't have to contact the consulate. They'll schedule the interview for you.

2. What does this letter contain?

Invitation to the interview and medical forms you don't need (because the doctor has them).

3. When does the DV winner get it?

that depends.

After the interview you may get the visa immediately, or you may have to go throgh the FBI check.

Tks LucyMO.

Do you know when this medical visit occurs? Who schedule it ? Is it scheduled by the kcc (as for the interview) ?
Do we have to contact a registred translator for diplomas, police certificates etc... ?
Those questions are important to us as we may have our interviews in September, the last month.. We have to avoid any mistake !!
Tks.
;)

you schedule the medical exam yourself. You have to go to the doctor autorized by the US consulate in your country. They'll have a list - ask for it. You have to bring the results to the interview.

Don't have to get a registered translator. Anybody fluent in both language can translate and certify.
