Second letter AOS interview or mistake?

Hi,
I filed I-485 based on marriage to a USC in April 2002. Entered on V visa, never overstayed. I live in NYC. Got the interview in Garden City in May 2005, even I live in Manhattan. Interview went well and the officer requested my child's birth certificate, even my kid is USC from my previous marriage. In the past 2 years, I went to Federal Plaza several times and always pending security checks. Wrote to my senator and congresswoman and the response pending security checks. Wrote to the FBI both in NYC and DC this summer and got the response all cleared a long time ago. So I filed a Mandamus suit last month. And Friday, I got a mail with notice to come to Garden City in 2 weeks and another one for fingerprinting tomorrow. All short notice.
The problem is the letter is in some purple colored paper without any letterhead with reason for appointment Adjustment of Status, but no mention of I-485. Also the time is 9:00:00AM. There is another photocopy with all papers to bring like the first interview. By the way, the first AOS interview letter of 2 years ago was in green colored paper.
I am confused. Does someone know what that means? Is it really a second interview letter or a computer generated one by mistake? I appreciate any insight.
Thanks

It maybe a "secondary" interview... maybe they were not convinced that your marriage is for love, and they need to interview you more.

However, it my just be a simple interview and an approval...

If you dont have nothing to fear, just go to the interview (with your husband) and see what's up...

Good Luck,

Biometrics (FP) are only valid for 18 months, so its not surprising USCIS have requested you do those again. Not sure why you need another interview - somehow I doubt its a Stokes - probably just because so long has elapsed since the original interview.

If it was a problem with the first interview, why waiting 2 years and 5 months to send this strange letter that doesn't look like AOS interview letter? Also the timing happened 4 weeks after I filed a Mandamus suit. This doesn't make sens to me.
As for fingerprints, I understand they need to be done.

It would be best if both of you can make it. The bare minimum demands that at least you make it. Good luck and keep us posted.

Another strange letter

Today again I've received another strange letter sent from Federal Plaza. And it's about I-730 with a receipt number, my name, address and my A#. When I checked on the web site, it said I730, REFUGEE ASYLEE RELATIVE PETITION.
Never, ever filed such petition. This is getting strange every day. What do you think?

You should call USCIS customer service line. Someone is obviously making a mistake at their office or something.
