hi, my number is xxxxSA15xx
the cut off number for may is 1420.
I am scare because i didn't receive my second package, when i will receive it? Should i call to Kentucky?

Thanx!

you probably won't receive your second package until your number becomes current. Seeing how it may become current in June or even July, I wouldn't hold your breath about getting the second package before then. It would be useless to call/email KCC if your number isn't going to be current in the next month.

another q

thanx for answer my q!!
i have another question, :suppose that my number is SA1520 ,and , suposse that the cuttoff number for june will be 1550, what does it mean? that my interview will be on june or that i will receive my second package on june?

in other words, what does the cut off number indicate? the month of the interview?

thanx!

Please read the post in my signature for general info.

If your number is SA1520, and the cutoff number for a given month is above it ( for example SA1550 ), yes, you could get your interview during that month. If will not neceassrily be that month, it can be after ( that was my case as I sent my paperwork late ), but for sure not before.
Once you see your number current in the visa bulletin, wait a few days ( so that interviews have been scheduled and KCC has been informed ), then call KCC to know if an interview has been scheduled for you ( if CP, it is different for AOS ).

Its my case too!

Hi beathricce... seems we are pretty in the same situation. My number is SAxxxx15xx.
As far as I see we will become current next bulletin; note that for may is 1450. I guess chances are 90% for june (only 150 numbers to 1600 ant they have accelerated to >200numbers/months last two months).
Wish u best of luck!!:) :)

Hi C8arly!
thanx! at least i'm not the only one scared.
yes, i think we'll be called on june, i was very nervous because i received my first letter in may 2006 and now its almost may again (almost one year), but i am glad to hear about you.
Keep in touch and if u get your second package please let me know, i will do the same.
Thanx again.

Ok beathricce let's keep in touch through this thread!
By the way I plan to e-mail KCC as soon as they publish next bulletin (around 12/15 apr. I guess, and If I become current) wait for an answer (Usu they take 2/5 working days) and if incomplete, call them.
I have already done almost all my homework thanks to the guidance of this wonderful forum. Good luck!!:)

HI C8arly,

did you see my last post in my thread about the link at the US consulate in BA?

Did you receive the 2nd package?

Wish you the best of luck!

please, keep me posted!

Lola76

Hi c8arly:we will keep in touch through this thread.
I have a question : you said u did your homework, what homework??? you scared me!
About the medical ex. : in the second package they will tell u where to do this med. ex? or u have to do it before?
another homeworK??

thanx!

Please read the post in my signature for general info for DV winners.
I've explained there that the 2nd package contains the list of doctors accredited by the US consulate that you will have your interview at.
In a way, you cannot do it before you receive your 2nd package, as you need to know to which doctor you can go to.

Homework probably means : having requested and received police certificates, evidence of support documents, birth / marriage /.. certificates...
=> Having made sure you have ALL the documents ready and accurate.

noyhing to scare..!

Hi Lola76/Hi Beatricce/ Hi Cateyes

Beathricce: nothing to be scared, Cateyes is right!! In my case I had to get some police certificates from other countries were I lived and have all documents: Univ degree, high school degree, birth certificate, etc legalizaded (apostillados with the Hague apostille) as wisely sugested by Lola76, who underwent through the same process.
The only time consuming matter to me was to obtain foreign certificates; all the rest was fast.

Lola: I left all papers done; I recently asked a new foreign police certificate as the previous one was dated june last year; nonetheless I found out that those certificates are acceptable as long as you did not return to that country after issuance, which is my case.(Source: US departament of state Foreign Affairs manual Volume 9-visas page 2) which I downloaded and printed out from internet (though I cannot rememer the internet page now!!!!)

Yes, I printed the embassy page on the medical exams and amazingly one of the physicians is next to home....!! As cateyes says, now I can do nothing except wait to become current and get second package.
Question, Lola76: do phisicians had the medical forms or do I have to print them out and bring them with me to the appointment? I plan to do medicals some 15 days prior to interview..
Best wishes to all!!!!! and hope this may help.

...bda english...

where it says "do Physician had" shall read "Did Physician have" sorry, I can leave small writt:eek: en mistakes posted but not such a big one:eek:

thanx so much c8arly and catseyes, ok, that means that i have almost everything, but still i have a question: i got my police certificates (i don´t know how to say it in english ,antecedentes judiciales y penales) , so, i got it in june 2006 after i received my first package, do u think i have to get it again? because, its almost 1 year since then?
and... another q, i studied my carrier in another country (mexico) , 8 years , do i have to obtein police certificates from mexico?????
Please tell me that i don't have to!!!!!!!:(

Police certificates

Beatrice:

As far as I understand you have to provide a police certificate from any country you lived for more than 6 months since you were 16 y.o. So If you studied in Mexico after you were 16 for > than 6 months, the answer should be yes, you should obtain it.

For the appropriate documents you should check
http://travel.state.gov/visa/reciprocity where u could find all needed documents for any country incuding yours. Note that they ask for some countries (i.e.: peru) both a police certifcate and a "certificado judicial", in all of them a police certificate.

I also obtained a police certificate in november in the country were I leave now (my country) but this document has a deadline and yes, I will get another one once interview date approaches, just in case.....

Sorry if this is bad news, but take the good part: you notice this at least before being confronted with 2nd package.

Wish u all the best

carlos

First: thank you Carlos!!!!!
Second: Oh nooooo!!!!!!!!!!
Ok about police cert. in Peru, i checked already and have to doit again, no problem.
Buuuut about police certificates in Mexico, How to do it?? do i have to travel to Mexico?? i don't have the visa! , and i don't have any idea how to do it!!!!!!

I'm gona die!

Now i'm more confused!!!
I checked the link.. but the info about Mexico confuse me...It's says:
Mexico:
Police Records:
Unavailable

????

Please any idea?

Certificates

Hi Beathricce!

To a certain extent I think this is good news for you as the US department of State officialy recognizes that the document they ask is unavailable for Mexico.

I would print out the reciprocity page and produce it in the consular interview.

Additionally I would send an e-mail to the Inmigration Visa department (IV) of the US embassy in Mexico and ask them about the point.

I did so with the US embassy in Brasil and they sent me a written answer I will produce in mi CP interview in case any doubt arises with my certificates....

I try to help to the best of my knowledge that, as you see is also very limited on this matter.

Again, best of luck!

thanks u Carlos!!!
Ok, i sent an email to the US embassy in México. I will wait for the answer.
Sorry but i have another q, sorry:
In that website, says (in México part):
PRISON RECORD
Available. Persons who have been incarcerated may obtain records from the Laboratorio de Criminalistica e Identificacion, Jefatura de la Policia (Laboratory of Criminology and Identification, Police Headquarters) in Mexico City, or from the Presidente Municipal (Municipal President) or Delegacion de Policia (Police Headquarters) of the area of residence.

So, prison records is just for people who have been incarcerated???

Thanks so much!!
and sorry about my silly questions :(
