RTD No longer valid proof of employment eligibility?

Hey Guys,

I have been at the same job for years so I only needed to show my RTD as proof once, and now I have my green card too.

My company was recently acquired by Amazon and we had to fill out paperwork, and here is the form I-9 they gave us, last updated 06.05.07, which is the most recent one:

It does not mention RTD there as valid proof of employment authorization, as it used to have in the past. Anyone know when it was taken out of the list and why?

I know we can always bring your I-94 (listed on the form) but people like me who were granted asylum by a judge will have a hard time with that letter, as we all can read all over this forum- SS Offices, DMVs,etc staff are dumb and do not know what that means.

I believe it was removed from the list about 2 years ago.
 
RTD has been removed.

You can use a photo ID and a social security card to satisfy the I-9 requirement.
