stamping experience
We went to Santa Ana this morning. No we cannot beat Amburan\'s experience. Yes it was a good experience, thanks to numerous details posted by Amburan and others. My notice asked me to go to LA downtown but we went to Santa Ana.
We asked the security guard for the line for INS and he admitted us within 3 minutes. We reached INS at 8=00 AM. We went to the 3rd floor and after 15 minutes got the token and proceeded up to 5th floor. After some time the officer called us and the officer did our work.
He did not ask for Advance Parole and EAD
Guys one important thing. Please be very carefull to check the A number that he writes. He writes the A number 3 to 5 times.
It happened to One of my friends that the officer wrote the A number incorrectly on his passport and my friend had to go back to INS after a few days to correct the same.
Please be very sure and try to observe the officer if you are able to to ensure that he writes the correct A number everywhere.
So our officer stamped the passport and said that the Card should come in the mail within 6 months. He gave us a validity of 1 year.
Overall it took 45 minutes.
No rush and overall a very good experience.
Everyone was friendly and smiling and made a few jokes etc etc.

Each experience is individual - I am relieved and happy and tired and excited and thrilled and I have many many mixed emotions.
The sun still rises from the East and sets in the west. The birds sing the same and the flowers bloom according to their regular cycle.
But Hey - My thoughts and my feelings are different. I am now extremely happy and my thoughts are entirely different from what they were earlier. Earlier I was tense and apprehensive and was not sure what the future will hold.
Now everything which was on hold has changed status from hold to next step forward.
It is a big achievement in our life and has made a very very big impact to us.
I would not like to be flip about this at all.
