RP for UK visa

Does UK accept RP ? Do i need a visa ? I am planning to use GC + RP for short stoppage in UK to another country . I want to change flights and stay in london for couple of days, just see around. Also, if anyone knows if UK give transit visa on RP. I plan to be there for about 2 days. Please share your experience if any ?
 
I got a visa on an RP. It's straightforward. It took a week. But, I applied in Amsterdam, not in the US. Either way, you shouldn't have any problems. But, you will need a visit visa, not a transit visa, if you leave the airport.
 
I just got a UK visa on my RP. Nowadays you have to go through biometric with USCIS, but the rest is easy, you don't have to go to the embassy or consulate.
 
What if I don't leave the airport? Do they have an international buffer zone like in most of Europe? Or do you still have to go through immigration upon arrival no matter what, like in the US?
 
as i said in another post, uk does not require transit visa for persons holding a valid us visa status, either immigrant or nonimmigrant.

again check it with the embassy!
