Right Time for EAD Renewal

Hi Gurus,

I know we have to apply EAD before 90 days. But recently I have read on USCIS website that EAD should be applied 6 months before expiration. Does someone knows about it ?

After I read a lot of stories, I will apply 6 months in advance.

I applied 6 months in advance this time and it was approved in a little over 4 months (no RFE) after making several infopass appointments and letters. The card was approved with when my current card expires . This is at NBC / MSC. so 6 months might be the right thing i guess. It depends it might also slow down your approval process but its safer if you get a RFE.
