I got an RFE in early August because I wasn't working for my sponsoring employer at 485 filing. The RFE was a basic one for a new employment letter, which my attorney received from me and sent back. The AVM changed on 8/28, saying the response was received on that date.
I am hoping that since it's a simple RFE, the 485 would get approved quickly, but no luck so far. Does anyone have any experiences on the response time for RFEs? Does the complexity of the information requested (employment letter, medicals, photos, etc. vs. 1040s and W-2s and passport pages) make any apparent difference?
