RFE received yesterday (March 20)

RFE details: I was in H1 for 3.5 years and moved to H4 for 2.5 years now. Completed 6 years by MArch 9th 2007. My employer applied for H1 now for the decoupling and RFE came back saying I have finished using my 6 years in H status. Looks like they missed to take their own memorandum released in Dec 2006

Any thoughts?

My wife is in the same boat.I mean she wants to apply and recapture the 6 months time she spent on H-4. While applying did you pay all the regular H1 fee + 1000 for Premium Processing? or just 1000$ as this is a not a new/change/extension of H1-B.Please send me a PM with your email address or contact number as i would like to get more info.I really appreciate your help.
