Returning to India- Qs | Very Urgent!

Hi,
My wife came to US on H4 on 1st Apr 2006. H4 VISA expiry date is 1st June 2007. One consultant sponsored H1B. It got approved in Oct-2006. Since then her employer did not pay and is still looking a job for her. Also her employer has not returned any H1 paper to her yet. They will do that once they find a project for her.
But she would like to go back to India in April-07.

Question:
1) Does she need any H1 papers to go back to India?
2) Can she go with Indian passport having H4 VISA stamped since it is not expired (exp. date is 1st June 2007) yet?
3) If second option is feasible, does her employer need to cancel H1 first? If so, how many days does it take for H1 cancellation? When can she fly in this case then?

Your help is much appreciated!!! Pleaseeeeeeeeee.........

1) H1 or H4 does not do anything to visit India. but if she wants H1 stamp, she needs H1 approval notice at the US consulate.
2) She can enter the US with H4 stamp.
3) No need to cancel H1.
