Returning Previous I-94

Am not sure if this is the right forum to try and address this issue.

I travelled to India last December and on returning realised that I had my previous I-94.

I spoke to a friend about it who mentioned that I need to send it in to INS along with proof of travel.

Can any one detail me on this.
