Folks,

Assuming that one is eligible to work on an EAD (which would get approved I was told, within 2-3 months of filing for I485) and the AC 21 for which one is eligible after 6 months, what are the pros and cons of each approach?

Is it one vs the other, as in, if I were to use EAD, I cannot use AC 21?

Thanks!!

my understaning is: you can start using EAD with current employer.........and you can switch to another employer using the EAD with the help of AC21....after 6 months of 485

use caution when using EAD

So, in short, the EAD before AC21 is useful only for spouses?

If for any reason your 485 is rejected after using EAD, you will be out of status...

There is no pros/cons between EAD and AC21 because these are two different things.
EAD is just work authorization. AC21 enables you to change sponser without terminating your GC process. You can use AC21 either with EAD or H1.
