Hi My Friends Asylees,
The Immigration Policies In The United States Are Getting More Complicated, And Is Some Kind Of Anti-immigrant Feelings In The Us Society, I Am Really Dont Blame It, Cause Density Of Population Is Getting High, Also Crimes, And Quality Of Life And Salarios Frozen Or Low.
For Instace This Fact Sheet, Is A Proof That Even Gc Holders Doesnt Have The Rights That They Suppose To Have. So We Are No Really Lpr (lawfull???????, I Dont Think So), They Will Question You For This And For That If You Go To Your Country, Is Increible People Has Been Here Waiting Years Some Times 10 Or More And Still, They Can Not Go, That Is Really Unfair, This People Now Have Us Born Children, Work, Pay Taxes And Own Bussines Or Properties, And Has Been Checked Many Times For Criminal Records, More Than Any Other Immigrant Or Us Citizen And Still This Politics Wants To Make Our Lives Miserables.
The Persecutions Is Not Over For Us, We Still Need To Explain In This Country To The Authorities Each Single Breath We Take.
Many Asylees Can Go Back To Cop Becuase Things Changes, But After Many Years They Can Not Stay Due To We Make Usa Our Home, This Is More Than Obvious.
I Am Seriously Planning Apply For Residency In Canada Under The Skill Worker Class.
Thank's God Is A Shortage Of My Proffesion There, And They Are In Big Problems Rightnow.
I Checked With A Very Good Lawyer In Canada, And I Can Have My Residency In 1 Year Or Less.
I Am Still Waiting For My Gc Here, How Long More...........?
Guys Many Of You Are Expert In Immigration After Pass For All This Process, Is Legal Or Possible To Have Residency In Canada And Usa At The Time? I Will Stay In Usa One Year O Maximun 2 After Get My Candadian Residency Because I Need To Finish My Posdoctoral Training In Usa.
 
FIrst you say all crap about how you want to move and then you contradict yourself by saying If you can keep 2 residencies? Green Card is a privilege and not a right. Stop making it as if its your right to get a GC and never be questioned again.

The last time I checked Canada also has good schools so apply for your residency there and never look back.

If I Decide To Apply To Canada Is Because I Want To Go To Canada, Is That Clear For You?
But Unfortunally I Have To Stay In Usa 2 Years More In Order To Finish My Posdoctoral Training, Then I Will Go Canada And As You Said Just Came Back To Visit Orlando And Magic Kindom.
My Question Is Just About If Can Stay Here In Usa Being A Canadian Permanet Resident. I Know That For Canada Is Not Problem, I Just Want To Know If Is Any Problem For Usa.
Eventually Once I Moved To Canada Will Returnd My Us Gc.

When You find that you can not travel abroad (including your COP) like the others LPR, what thats means to you?
Are the former Asylees( now GC holders) like the orher GC holders?

Dude you got your GC based on asylum. THese fact sheets are meant to be just for reference..it no way means that everyone fits-into-one "fact" of law.

IF you go to COP with a valid reason and are asked, you have full rights to explain yourself.

but if you travel to a differnts countries can you use your passport or still you have to use the RTD? and when you come back and they still going to stamp you RTD or passport that you are aloud to work in the US?

Ok let me try to answer two questions on here - if I may.

First of all, this first phase of the WHTI affects individuals traveling in thru the western hemisphere - to and from the US and across US airspace. This does not affect asylees and PRs of the US for passport requirements. Why? Because the USCIS issued travel document is a valid document and statisfies the requirements. Also, the PR card or Greencard also satisfies the requirements. Think about it? The purporse of the rule is to have individuals show proof of their citizenship or US status. So, as a PR, your greencard should suffice as a secure federal government issued document. Just like a passport would statisfy that rule.

Before you argue about this - let me elaborate. Think of the new Pass Card or passport card that will be implemented for the second phase of the WHTI. The Pass Card is to be utilized in lieu of a US passport when crossing the US/Canadian and the US/Mexican border. In addition to this, the Nexus card is acceptable. Both documents are secure federal issued IDs. So what does this mean? Well, it means that as long as you have a federally issued travel document (i.e. passport, travel document, national passport with valid US visa, pass card, greencard, etc) you should have no problems with the WHTI requirements.

As for Canadian PR status. I believe Canada allows an individual to be out of Canada for 3 years out of every 5 years they are PRs. So, for every 5 years of permanent residency, one must be physically present in Canada for a minimum of 2 years. At the time of admittance, a person is issued a Maple Leaf card - or a PR card with a validity date of 5 years. It is this date that is utilized to determine the PR status. The burdern of physical proof resets with the individual. Also, just because an individual gets a SIN number (their version of the SSN), a healthcard, and a bank account does not statisfy physical presence. It isn't that easy folks. Canadian immigration law has separate requirements for maintaining PR status and qualifying for citizenship.
