Hello,
I am new to this process.
After filing I-130 as a first step for filing GC for parents living in India, what are the other steps in the process.
After I-130 approval USCIS will notify the designated US consulate in India which then will contact your parents and arrange for an immigrant visa interview. There is paperwork involved before interview is granted (Affidavit of support, filing DS-230, supporting documents to prove birth and relationship, etc).
Hello,

USCIS will adjudicate the I-130's [one form and one fee for each parent in it's own envelope, filed together as a family pack in one larger envelope]. All the I-130 does is establish the relationship and assign the correct Immigrant Visa category to the beneficiary (a parent of a USC is IR-5). USCIS sends the approved petitions to NVC. NVC contacts you about the I-864, Affidavit of Support. NVC sends the completed file to the appropriate Consulate or Embassy near where they live abroad. The State Department contacts the beneficiaries and tells them to apply for the Immigrant Visa on form DS-230 and directs them about getting the medical exams and police letters.
Thanks for the info.. quick quesitons
1)what is nvc
2) which form is related to verify birth certificate, parents birth and marriage certificate. When does this come in place.
