Is Request for Evidence = Yellow Letter?
My online status said that on 10/18/2010 they mailed a notice requesting additional info. I only recall receiving a Yellow Letter requesting that I bring my DL to the interview. My FP are done at this point.
No other communication. Should I worry?
 
Did you get fingerprinted or are you exempt--over statutory age limit? Is this a second recent application?
 
now that you asked, I think it was the FP letter that was dated on 10/18. Then, in November or December I got the YL. Shouldn't be the case transferred to the local office at this point? Why it is not shown online?
 
YL does not mean the case has transferred, i received my YL 2 months before the case was transferred to local office. I don't think you should worry. Also try to find if there's a thread on this forum for your DO, it will help.
