4/10/07: I just received a letter from the USCIS VSC today. With my application for my parents' extension, I had enclosed copies of their original return tickets, scheduled for 4/24/07 which was the 6 month time frame. I had requested an extension for 3 months through 9/15/07 on my application.
Question I have is that the letter for additional evidence states that they require us to "submit evidence demonstrating the applicant has made arrangements to depart the US. Documentation should include a one way airline ticket which identifies the applicant's exact departure date. Open tickets not acceptable"
I did not send an open ticket. I'm guessing this means that we should send evidence of the requested extension date as in a Sep ticket??
Also, the headline of this letter states "Intent to deny". Is his common verbage, I thought it should state "Request for evidence"??
Concerned and Confused about this request. Any suggestions or thoughts will be appreciated.
