request for additional evidence

Hi guys, it seems that right after the intial review, all the status changes to request for additional evidence, is that the case or what? i got email and text saying that status has changed and when i checked it, it said a request for additional evidence was mailed, is that the finger print stuff or what?

I also received the Request for Evidence by email saying letter mailed on March 30, which I have not received. But I received Notice for Finger Print which is dated March 31. My question is same, does RFE = FP, will appreciate reply?

I think so. My mom got the same thing, and I'm waiting for my RFE, and I'm expecting the FP letter.
