Replacement EAD

I lost my EAD in the mail. One of my friend told me that he went to a local office and got an interim EAD when he lost his EAD.However the right way seems to be to apply for a replacement EAD http://www.immigration.gov/graphics/howdoi/ead.htm

Anyone know how long it take for replacement EAD?

you will have to go through the same cycle as before all over again. there are no special queues for replacement eads.

You can also go to local office after applying for replacement EAD and get the interim EAD (employer has asked for proof again, please help me...)

I had the same problem, my EAD was also lost in the mail. I waited for a month and fifteen days and applied for replacement EAD. Did not hear anything yet.

I was not sure about the interim EAD though. So it is possible to get interim EAD from local INS office after applying for replacement EADs.
