Rent apartment in two different cities

Can anyone shed light if I can rent two apartments in different city?
Right now, I am living in LA(Anaheim) and travel frequently to Fremont(San Francisco).
So, I was thinking rather than staying in hotel all the time, can I rent a apartment in Fremont as well as in LA?
If I do that, would it affect my case since its pending in Anaheim but considering my room in Fremont, the jurisdiction will be in SFO but I do live in LA as well with a lease.

Any thoughts?
 
Of course you can. It'll have no effect on your case in LA. You can rent a room, and not even mention it in your application as it would be akin to staying at a hotel.

Yes its very true i inquired about this situation and the lawyer told me it wont affect the application
 
Thank you guys for your prompt response.
The only reason I was being skeptical was due to the background check they do and a credit history check. My friend scared me that if I rent in Fremont then it will be in my history and if USCIS find out then it will delay my case or something. Since staying in hotel doesn't require me to background check or rental history, I was doing that till now but its getting expensive and the better alternative was to get a rental apartment.
