Remainder months before 7th year

The LCA was for three years, and the I-129 was for three years and asked for the maximum fore renewal. But, I-129 is issued for just one year even though there are 6 months left to reach the end of the 6th year. Is it USCIS error but getting them to change it is essentially impossible as they have sole discretion on what they grant? At the end of the one year (8/2007), what do I need to do with the remainder (9/2007 ~ 3/2008)? Should I file another I-129 for only 9/2007 ~ 3/2008? After 3/2008, should I file the incremental one year extension from the 7th year?

you can ask for 1.5years.

Do you mean I can ask 1.5 years when I file the I-129 on 8/2007? Does that mean the I-129 issued already with one year cannot be changed?

Actually, i do not understand what you are saying.
I-129 asked for 3 years, and I-129 issued for one year.. What does it mean ?
I-129 is something employer issues, not CIS or DOL.

USCIS issued H-1 B approval (renewal) for just one 1 year even though there are ~ 6 months left to hit the end of the 6th year. I hope this is clear.

Next time you do extension, you can ask 1.5 years. It makes your H1 extended full 7 year. Then you can ask 1 year increment with further extension.
