Hi ,
Today I had my visa interview with Chennai Consulate at 8.15 a.m.
I just couldn't believe that my F1 visa was rejected. The exact reason is not known.
Interview in Details:
Me : Good Morning
VO : ..... Hi
Me : Hi
VO : How many backlogs? ( I have no clue why she directly asked about my backlogs)
Me : I had 2 backlogs.
VO : What is your aggregate?
Me : 65 %
VO : What other universities did you apply for?
Me : (listed all of them)
VO : Sorry we cannot process your visa today.Try again.Bye
Me : (Shocked)

VO then gave me a blue paper (214(B))
The reason stated in the 214(B) and the questions asked by the VO were not related at all.

Anyways .... i just want to know what i can do to make my case stronger and clear my interview next time.

Please help!!!!!
Reply soon......
Thanks a lot

Do you have any siblings/parents in the US? That works against you.
Do you have any property/savings in your home country? That works for you.

i just want to know what i can do to make my case stronger and clear my interview next time.

In DS156 I have mentioned that brother is on H1B and sister on H4 visa.
Actually my brother is in USA for a short term project and my sister got married last year.
I did'nt want to lie about my siblings. Is that wrong?

First of all, the VO did not ask me any questions about my siblings and neither did she give me any chance to convince her that i will return to India after my studies.
I obviously intend to return as my parents stay here.
How do I convince next time that I intend to return to India after completing my MS?
