hello
I am recent graduate student.I had applied for my optional practical training for a period of 6 months after i graduated in june 2002. I was advised by advisor that I could apply for the remaining 6 month period by january first week.
now i have two questions related to my OPT.
1. Does the new rule which impiles that the student should apply for OPT before he/she graduates from the program apply to me for renewal of my card?
2.Is there any rule which prevents me from applying to my OPT for 6 months and then for another 6 months at a later time? Was i supposed to apply for one whole year the first time ???
Please do help me regarding the same.
