Regarding new H1 visa

Hi,

I am currently in India and have valid H1 visa from company A till 2008 (have traveled,worked and returned from US on this visa).I will soon be getting an approved petition from company B and will be applying for a new H1 visa specific to company B.

My question is if for some reason,the consulate rejects the new visa (company B), will they also cancel my existing H1 visa(company A) or will it remain intact? Pl let me know.
 
How long you are in India after US job.

Your case probably previous visa may get cancelled.
