Regarding AOS Interview

How important is it for one to provide joint lease contract at the AOS interview? Currently, we are renting and plan to move when I get a job. Our current lease has only my wife's name on it and when we tried to add me on, we were told that they would increase our security deposit since I am not working yet. I don't have that money to give them and so I was wondering if we will be alright at the interview with other supporting documents but without the lease. We have quite some stuffs in our names like child, credit cards, joint bank accounts, phone bills, utility bill (power), some photos and some past emails and maybe like two cards exchanged in the past. What do you people think?

That should be enough to establish the fact that your marriage is bona fide. Get as much as you can.

Why don't you ask your landlord to respond in writing stating that your security deposit will increase if you are added to the lease, although I think the fact that they say there will be an increase is BS.

Ask him if he is penalizing you both for getting married?

What you have seems enough to me. Good luck!!!
