Reg I-94 card on I-797 petition - Seniors please help

Hi Seniors

I have been in India since last 8 months (had returned from US after 3 years) and had applied for the "remainder" of H1 through another company.I got the approval as well for the same.When I received the hard copy of the I-797, i saw that they had included a I-94 card with the validity dates same as the new petition validity.

As far as I know, they provide this card on the I-797 only in case of H1 extension while in US.

- How would this I-94 be applicable to me considering I have been in India since 8 months?
- Wont they be issuing a new I-94 at the port of entry?

what do you mean by "remainder" ?
did your employer filed H1 extension while you WERE IN US?

Did your new Employer filed H1 Transfer while you were in US?

explain your full case details.
 
I think either CIS or your lawyer made a mistake on your application and treated as if you were in the US.
I don't think having I-94 would be a big deal in this case, but you had better talk to your lawyer and find out who made a mistake.
