Reentry Permit questions

I am planning for long break and applied reentry permit. Just finished biometric, waiting for the approval notice. I am in the process of getting ready to get all the information while i am in abroad, I gathered the following information through these forums. If any other information i am missing or wrong please share

1. Working abroad through US employer is always safe :- I never heard or seen anywhere in the USCIS website, is any worked abroad and able to return after long break through reentry permit, Please let me know, this would help my job search.
2. File taxes with out fail even though in abroad.: - It is good practice and show all the abroad income.
3. Apart from reentry permit, are there any other documentation that i need to inform USCIS about my abscense in US?
4. I am vacating my appartment that i am, do i need to inform USCIS? or shall i give my friend address for USCIS communication? does this help?

I dont know other than the above steps for smoother reentry permit. I hope every thing will be fine, i appreciate if anyonce can share thoughts on this.

1. You are thinking of the N-470 under INA 316(b). It is not a simple thing, see a lawyer if this is a possibility.
2. "Income from abroad?" You have to be more specific.
3. Are you moving your residence abroad completely?
4. Why? Are you moving abroad for good?

Why are you going abroad?

A re-entry permit will preserve LPR status but, you will have to start counting over after you return to resume residing permanently in the U.S. in order to qualify for naturalization.

IF you have sufficient time as an LPR already, THEN when you return you do not have to start counting from scratch. You would use the 4 yr and 1 day rule found in 8 CFR 316.5(c)(1)(ii) which finds its basis in INA 316(b).
