Received FP notices: appearing at TSC early?

My wife and I finally received our FP notices, almost two years from our I485 filing! Here are our filing dates:

RD: 4/25/2001
ND: 5/18/2001

However the thing is, despite me being the main applicant and my wife's application being dependent of mine, she is called for appearance on 3/27/03 while I am called on 4/3/03, a week after!

I already asked my attorney about appearing with my wife on 3/27 and he seemed to think that this should work out ok, just reminding me that, it will still be at the local INS offficer's own discretion to accept or not to do my FP's on 3/27...He/she may simply ask me to come back on the exact due date on 4/3.

Then when I asked my attorney if both my wife and I could show up together before 3/27, he seemed categoric: NO!

I am quite surprise of his answer after I read numerous examples on this board of people showing up earlier than their scheduled appearance date and were able to get FP'd earlier...

So my question to this board is: should I try to show up early or simply wait for 3/27?

Based on my already "extensive" experience with the TSC, I learned the "long" way that every single day counts. If I could shave off at least three weeks in processing time, I would go for it...

Thanks in advance for any advices!

There is no harm in appearinig together and early. Ask lawyer why the answer is NO and what is the logic?

"Then when I asked my attorney if both my wife and I could show up together before 3/27, he seemed categoric: NO! "
I need a better attorney.. Your Attorney knows very little..
Just go on that date and get it done .. and call your attorney and let him know too..

Ok, I emailed my attorney today and asked him to be a little bit more specific about the reason(s) why we should not try to show up earlier than our scheduled FP date.
His answer is pretty revealing of what we already knew about the INS: there are rules and there is what they "do" with them...

Attorney's quote:

"INS has indicated that they do not process fingerprint appointment prior to the scheduled day and time. However, as you know with INS, they have rules and they have what they actually do. If you know of a fingerprint site that will perform the prints in advance you certainly can try to have the prints taken."

So, my question is: has anybody experienced the San Antonio INS center for early fingerprinting?

Thanks a bunch for any advices and good luck to all the TSC GC applicants...
