Wow, VSC jumped by 5 weeks! Who would have thought such a feat was possible (can you sense the sarcasm)? This means I should be getting my receipt any day now.

I wonder what exactly is TSC's problem?

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I checked the receipt numbers again, and the latest receipt number that shows up is about 3,500 away from mine. I have a feeling I'll be getting my receipt this coming week.

It's funny you should ask! Initially, I thought that the receipt number was the number on the back of the check. However, after Nimche suggested otherwise, I asked around on this forum, and we've been able to establish that the receipt number is actually the number handwritten on the front of the check. That's the number that I was referring to, when I wrote that the number that appears online is about 3,500 away from mine.
 
Yes, it is infact the number handwritten on the face of the check. I found that out during one of my converasations with an IO...I gave him the number from the back of my check thinking that it was MY receipt # and he came back telling me that the number actually belonged to a totally different person. He then went on to say that it was probably the hand-written # that would become my receipt number.

Until yesterday, I couldn't get that number to show up on the online status. But this morning when I entered it online it showed up !!

So the number basically showed up online a day after you got your receipt?
 
You know..the hand writing SUCKS...
They need to add a test for employees to FAIL "Medical Doctors's Hand Writing Course".
If they perform worse than MD's then they should not be hired..lol..
 
But what is the number on the back. Mine showes up on the bottom of the reciept. and instead of * has a $ sign? Means I am getting rich.

Thanks. At this point I'm still waiting (as are others whose priority date is after July 30 for TSC) just to see my check cashed. It maddening to see someone with a priority date of July 27 at TSC has already received FP notice. The wait continues....

TSC still at 7/29/2007.
don't know what to say. why this service center is not moving at all.what is the reason ? does anyone know the statistics like no of applications each service center received. I always assume more immigrants at east coast and west coast. south too ? I am stuck here.
