Yes. Good Question...But there is a way to find out....

Check this out...EAC 02-059-50801 thru EAC 02-059-50920...check randomly few numbers in VSC....059 is 59th business day which is Dec. 21, 2001. AVM says "your application to....received on Dec. 10, 2001..." that means people who sent the papers on Dec. 07 or Dec. 08 would have their notice date on 12/21/2001 but it will take one to two weeks to receive the notice because of holiday season.

Edison_NJ - if folks with the same or later MD than mine have got ..

their receipts, does this mean that my ND has been issued by VSC and the receipt is either on its way or sitting in my corporate attorney\'s in-box? Thanks.
 
what is ur MD ?

INS normally sends the receipts the next day or sometimes by end of week. Your MD is before 12/07/2001, you or your lawyer should have got the receipts by now (for most of the applications).
 
Edison_NJ - thanks for yourresponse. My MD was 11/20/01 by overnight ..

courier. Until last week my attorney did not receive the I-485 receipts. Is there a way I can trace the whereabouts - need to urgently travel abroad. Thanks.
 
My lawyer got the receipts two days back and I got the EAC numbers now from the lawyer.

EAC-02-063-5xxxx. I dont have the RD and ND with me right now. I will let you know once I get it.

Is your this EAC number same to what you had on your I-140 approval or is it different? If you were to check AVM, what do you need - EAC number or A#?
 
VSC 485/EAD/AP info

MD 12/4/01
RD 12/5/01
ND 12/14/01 - all receipts (6) for me and my wife
EAC-02-063-54***, last 3 digits are all different in every receipt.
 
EAC number is different for each and every application.......(485, 131, 765, 140, etc.,)

e.g. if the number is EAC 02-063-99999
EAC - Vermont Service Center
02 - Fiscal Year 2002
063 - 63rd business day in FY 2002
99999 - this number starts from 00001 (i guess) or some number on 1st business day of the fiscal year and starts growing for each and every application (sequence number).

Thnx for the info. The receipt number on my I140 approval notice is EAC-01-269-5xxxx, and we know that there is never a 269th working day in a year (365 days in a year - 104 days of weekends only = 261 at the best, haven\'t even included other holidays). Plus I received my I140 approval notice in October 01. So this number might not be the business day number in that FY.

Which number do you need to track the case (485, 765 & 131) on AVM - A# or individual EAC# ?
