Reapply Reentry Permit After Changing Jobs Overseas?

My RP still has one-year left but I'm thinking about leaving my current employer who sponsored this RP. Do I have to apply for another RP after changing jobs, or could I keep using the current one till it expires?
Employers do not sponsor RPs.
Thx for the reply. My current employer helped file the RP application which stated overseas work assignment as the reason for the application, so not sure if this RP is still valid after leaving the original company?

Again, employers are not party to an RP, so yes, it is still valid.
