Really concerned on B Overstay/New F1 -- please help

Sooo...I overstayed my B1/B2 Visa for 16 days (that's days - not
months, otherwise I'd really be in trouble). I'm assuming that Visa was voided. However, I was admitted into grad school after and reapplied succesfully for new F-1 Visa which is now in my possesion. Now, nevertheless, I'm worried aboutbeing "delayed" (aka hassled, interrogated and detained) at my Point of Entry when I reenter the United States by the CBP officer.

Keep in mind, the visa on which I overstayed was my old B1/B2 and the visa on which I am reentering is a new F1.

An overstay, even if it is 1 hour. Invalidates your Visa under the INA.

You probably will be subject to questioning and keeping in mind that the visa you overstayed was the B1/B2, you need to keep in mind that you abused of the same agency (USCIS) that issued both visas. So it really does not matter which visa you overstayed.

Worried09,
You do have grounds to worry. You may be denied entry, you may be granted entry. Just be honest at the POE and answer their questions truthfully without volunteering any information not requested.

PraetorianXI,
The State Department issues visas, not USCIS :)

hello worried09.

I have B-1 visa. I am planning to get F-1. Could you please let me know how to go about it. Should I approach any school here.
