Reaching H1-B 6y. GC applied as dependent

Folks,

Here is my situation. My H1-B expries Oct 2007.My husband has a H1-B visa as well. We applied for GC together through his work.I applied as a dependent and he is the beneficiary of the employment based GC. The I-140 has been approved. We are waiting for I-485 approval. The priority date is Jan,2004.

My questions is:
How can I continue to work in the US beyond Oct2007? What are my options to live legally in the US?

Did your husband apply for his and yours 485 yet? If he did.. and sounds like he did as you said.. 'we are waiting or 485 approval'... Then you can apply for EAD.

He applied for a 485 for both of us. Both of us got a receipt notice for our
485s. To work with an EAD,do I need any kind of visa like H4 as my H1 will have expired?

If YOU(not your spouse) have filed I-485, you don't need non-immigrant status to stay in the US. you need EAD to work, though.
